- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 6 3/4 c. flour
- 2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. cinnamon-sugar
- 1 c. powdered sugar
Directions

1Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt in a small saucepan; heat until shortening melts.

2Cool to lukewarm.

3Dissolve yeast in warm water; beat in eggs and milk mixture.

4Beat in 4 cups of flour until smooth.

5Stir in raisins; add enough more flour to make a soft dough.

6Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic.

7Place in large greased bowl, turning once to coat with shortening.

8Cover and allow to rise in a warm place until double in bulk.
