  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 celery sticks, cut up
  • 6 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. m.s.g. (monosodium glutamate)
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 cans minced clams (Doxee) in juice
  • 3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 qt. half and half
  • regular milk

Directions

    In another saucepan, melt butter.

    Add flour, stirring constantly with wire whisk, over medium-high heat.

    Add 1 quart half and half and stir until mixture is thick and smooth.

    Add potato mixture.

    Place in crock-pot and add half and half, cup regular milk and simmer for at least 2 hours.
