- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 1 beaten egg
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening until crumbs are coarse.

3Combine egg and milk; add to other mixture all at once. Stir dough until forms a ball.

4Turn out and knead gently 20 strokes.

5Roll to 3/4-inch thick.

6Cut with biscuit cutter or with glass rim dipped in flour.

7Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 10 to 14 minutes at 450°.

8It is possible to refrigerate biscuits before baking up to 3 hours.
