Ingredients
- 2 cakes yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 7 to 9 c. flour
Directions

1Mix eggs, sugar and salt.

2Break yeast into small pieces and add warm water.

3Mix all together and add melted (cooled) shortening.

4Add flour gradually and mix well.

5Make dough into round ball and let sit in greased bowl for 10 minutes.

6Work down and let raise double, about 1 hour.

7Pinch off enough dough to make 3 balls that will fit into sections of a muffin pan.

8Roll balls in melted grease.

9Place 3 balls into each section of greased muffin pan.

10Let raise double and bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes.

11Makes 24 cloverleaf rolls.
