- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- nutmeg
- 9-inch pastry shell
- 1 c. shredded coconut
Directions

1Combine eggs, salt and sugar.

2Add milk and vanilla.

3Pour into pastry shell and sprinkle with nutmeg.

4Cover top with coconut.

5Bake in very hot oven (450°) for 10 minutes.

6Reduce temperature to 325° and bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
