Coffee Cream (Kaffeecreme)

  • 12 cup extra strong coffee
  • 12 cup cream, can also use milk
  • 2 12 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 egg, separated
  • whipped cream, garnish

Directions

    In a medium pan bring coffee, cream or milk, and sugar to a boil.

    In a small bowl add corn starch and dissolve in water.

    Constantly stirring, add cornstarch to coffee mixture and cook for 3 minutes.

    Remove from heat.

    Beat egg yolk and stir into coffee mixture, bring to a boil.

    Remove from heat.

    Fold in beaten egg white and pour into glass serving bowl.

    Chill thoroughly in refrigerator and decoreate with whipped cream before serving.
