Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, unbeaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 c. light brown sugar**
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 5/6 c. melted butter

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Grease bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sift first three ingredients.

    Set aside.

    With electric mixer at medium speed, mix butter with granulated sugar, then with eggs until very light and fluffy, about 4 minutes.

    Then at low speed, beat in alternately, just until smooth, flour mixture in fourths and vanilla and milk in thirds.

    Spread half of mixture in pan. Top with half of brown sugar mixture.

    Swirl throughout.

    Repeat. Bake about 45 minutes.
