  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk or use 3/4 c. milk and 3/4 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Measure all ingredients into bowl and beat at low speed until blended.

    Increase speed to medium and continue beating for 3 minutes.

    Pour into an 8 x 8-inch greased and floured pan.

    Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
