- 3/4 c. buttermilk or use 3/4 c. milk and 3/4 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Measure all ingredients into bowl and beat at low speed until blended.

2Increase speed to medium and continue beating for 3 minutes.

3Pour into an 8 x 8-inch greased and floured pan.

4Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
