- 2 2/3 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. light brown sugar
- 2/3 c. margarine, melted
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate or butterscotch bits
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
Directions

1Mix melted margarine, eggs and sugar.

2Cool slightly.

3Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Mix well.

4Stir in chocolate bits and nuts.

5Bake at 350° for 30 minutes in a long flat casserole.
