  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. Owens sausage
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 qt. water
  • 2 1/2 to 3 c. corn bread

Directions

    Brown ground meat and sausage.

    Add mushrooms, celery, onions and bell pepper; add water and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

    Mix in 3 cups corn bread and bake until crisp in 350° oven.
