- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons onions, chopped
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 pint water
- 2 cups corn kernels, fresh if possible
- 1 pint cream
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
Directions

1Melt butter in soup kettle and saute onion until limp.

2Add potatoes and water to kettle, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.

3Simmer over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 30-40 minutes.

4Add corn and cream.

5Heat, stirring frequently, for ten minutes.
