- 1 lb. cottage cheese
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 9 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
Directions

1Put the cottage cheese in bowl and break up with a fork.

2Add eggs and stir well.

3Add flour and salt.

4Mix until smooth.

5Form into balls with moist hands.

6Drop into 2 quarts of slightly boiling water and cook, covered, for 20 minutes at a gentle boil. Remove from water with slotted spoon and drain.

7Roll in browned buttered crumbs and serve hot with main meat.
