- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1/4 c. soft butter
- 2 lb. powdered sugar
- few drops coloring
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint or wintergreen extract
Directions

1Combine cream cheese and butter in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Stir over low heat until cheese is soft and butter is melted and the mixture is thoroughly blended.

2Add the powdered sugar and stir until well combined.

3Add food coloring and extract.

4Roll into one-inch balls.

5Place on a sheet of wax paper.

6Press with a fork to form a design on top.

7Let stand, uncovered, about 4 hours (until firm and outside is dry but inside is creamy).
