  • 1 average size head cabbage
  • 1 block butter or oleo
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • salt to taste
  • red and black pepper to taste
  • cracker crumbs
  • cheese strips

    Melt butter in pan.

    Add cornstarch or flour and stir.

    Slowly add milk; stir until thick and smooth.

    Set aside.

    Cut cabbage in two-inch pieces.

    Boil in salted water about 15 minutes, then drain.

    Set aside.

    Add grated cheese and seasoning to white sauce.

    Stir until cheese is melted.
