- 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 4 to 6 ears cut off corn
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. each: salt and pepper
- milk
- cornstarch
Directions

1In a heavy iron skillet, heat the bacon drippings and add the corn.

2Stir on high to fry about 2 minutes.

3Turn heat to low and add enough milk just to come to the top of the corn.

4Add sugar, salt and pepper and stir well.

5Let simmer about 30 minutes until corn is cooked.

6Mix a little cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir to dissolve.

7Pour into corn to thicken the milk, stirring as you add the cornstarch mixture.

8Check for salt and pepper.

9Serves 4 to 6.
