- 2 broiler-fryer chickens, cut in serving pieces
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. herb seasoned stuffing, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Preheat gas oven to 400°.

2Put butter in a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan and place in oven until melted.

3Meanwhile, combine crushed stuffing and salt in a plastic or brown paper bag.

4Dip chicken pieces into egg that has been beaten with water, then shake chicken, a few pieces at a time, in the bag until well coated.

5Place chicken, skin side down, in melted butter.

6Do not layer in pan.

7Bake uncovered in 400° oven 30 minutes.

8Turn and continue baking for 30 minutes or until tender.
