Ingredients

  • 10 c. quick oats
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1 1/2 c. 100% bran
  • 2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon, raisins, coconut, sunflower seeds or sesame seed, if desired

Directions

    Stir oats, wheat germ, bran and walnuts in a large mixing bowl.

    In separate bowl, stir together brown sugar, water, oil, vanilla and cinnamon.

    Pour over dry ingredients and stir well. Pour into 2 (9 x 13-inch) pans.

    Bake at 300° for 45 to 50 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

    Add raisins or other dried fruits (coconut, etc.) after baking.

    Cool completely.

    Store in airtight containers.
