Cucumbers With Sour Cream

  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 scant Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c. chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 tsp. white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 2 long slender cucumbers
  • 1 small onion, same diameter as the cucumber

    In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, sugar, vinegar, dill, pepper, salt and celery seed; blend.

    Pare the cucumbers and slice as thin as possible.

    Clean the onion, but slice it by hand, a bit thicker than the cucumbers.

    Add the vegetables to the sour cream mixture and toss lightly.

    Refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the cucumbers can absorb the dressing.
