Ingredients

  • 1 pint (2 cups) milk scalded (do not boil)
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • dash of salt
  • dash of nutmeg
  • unbaked 9 inch pie shell

Directions

    Add beaten eggs to milk gradually, then add sugar, salt. Pour into unbaked 9 inch pie shell.

    Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake 20 minutes at 400°, then lower heat to 350° and bake until done. Test by inserting toothpick in center.

    When toothpick comes out clean pie is done.
