  • 1/2 c. sour milk (to sweet milk add 1 Tbsp. vinegar and stir)
  • 8 Tbsp. butter
  • 8 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

    Mix eggs and sour milk together.

    Melt together butter and cocoa.

    Sift sugar, flour, salt and soda.

    Mix with the rest. Whip and add boiling water and vanilla.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
