- 1 lb. dates, chopped
- 1 lb. pecans, chopped
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 small jar maraschino cherries
- 1 (No. 1) can crushed pineapple
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300° to 325°.

2Have loaf pan ready.

3Mix dates and pecans.

4Sift dry ingredients and add to dates and pecans.

5Mix well (it's easier to use your hands).

6Add cherries, pineapple, vanilla and beaten eggs.

7Bake in loaf pan in slow oven (300° to 325°) for 1 1/2 hours.
