Ingredients
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 c. hot milk
- 2 beaten egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. dates, chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Directions

1Mix first four ingredients.

2Stir slowly into hot milk.

3Cook all until thick.

4Add egg yolks to mixture.

5Cook 1 minute and remove from stove.

6Add butter, vanilla, dates and pecans.

7Cool and fold egg whites into mixture.

8Pour into baked pie crust.

9Put in refrigerator for at least one hour.

10Serve topped with a dollop of whipped cream.
