Ingredients: 1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour; 2 c. sugar; 3/4 c. or more cocoa; 1 1/2 tsp. soda; 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder; 1 tsp. salt; 2 eggs; 1 c. milk; 1/2 c. vegetable oil; 2 tsp. vanilla; 1 c. boiling water

1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. or more cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. boiling water

Directions

Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.

Add remaining ingredients except boiling water; beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.

Stir in boiling water.

Pour in 9 x 13-inch cake pan that has been greased and lightly floured.

Bake in 350° oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
