Ingredients

  • 5 lb. roast
  • flour
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • pinch of rosemary
  • pinch of marjoram
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 4 onions, cubed
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 6 potatoes, peeled and halved

Directions

    Dredge meat in flour then brown in a Dutch oven.

    Add lots of ground pepper and salt to taste.

    Mix catsup and spices.

    Pour over meat.

    Add water.

    Cook slowly in a 325° oven.

    Add onions, carrots and potatoes after 1 hour.

    Continue to cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
