- 1 small onion per jar
- 1 dill head and stalk per jar
- 1/4 tsp. alum per jar
- cucumbers
- 2 qt. water
- 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
- 3/4 c. pickling salt
Directions

1Put 1 small onion, 1 dill head and stalk plus 1/4 teaspoon alum in jars.

2Pack the cucumbers into jars (should be washed cucumbers).

3Mix water, vinegar and pickling salt.

4Place mixture on stove and stir until it boils.

5Pour over cucumbers and pressure until 5 pounds pressure is reached.

6Remove from heat.

7Let cure 5 weeks before opening jars.
