- 2 cakes yeast
- 2 c. small curd cottage cheese
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. instant minced onion
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 4 tsp. dill seed
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 unbeaten eggs
- 4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.

2Heat 2 cups of cottage cheese until lukewarm and add sugar, minced onion, margarine, dill seed, salt, soda and eggs.

3Add softened yeast and flour.

4Mix well.

5Cover with cup towel and let rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.

6Stir down.

7Turn into well-greased loaf pan, cover and let rise again until doubled in size.

8Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.

9After baking, butter the top and sprinkle with salt.
