  • 8 oz. semisweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • dried apricots
  • pretzels
  • strawberries
  • graham crackers
  • maarshmallows

Directions

    Place the chocolate in a double boiler or medium-size metal bowl over a small pot of simmering water over low heat.

    Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.

    Stir the chocolate until melted.

    Stir the shortening into the chocolate until completely melted and combined.

    Remove from heat.

    Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

    Dip a pretzel or piece of fruit into the bowl until it is half-submerged in the chocolate; lightly drag it along the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.

    Place on the baking sheet.

    When finished dipping, place the sheet in a cool place to set the chocolate, about 3 to 5 minutes.
