  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Bring Crisco, water, oleo and cocoa to a boil and dump in bowl with flour and sugar.

    Mix well.

    Dump in buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla.

    Beat 2 minutes on medium speed.

    Mixture will be thin.

    Pour into greased and floured 11 x 16-inch pan.

    Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
