- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 4 Tbsp. Crisco shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 c. water
Directions

1Combine flour, salt and baking powder.

2Cut in shortening until mixture is cracker meal fine.

3Stir in egg and water.

4Use a rolling pin to roll out dough very thin on lightly floured board. Cut into 2-inch squares.

5Drop squares in boiling chicken broth. Reduce heat and cook, uncovered, 30 minutes.

6Cover and cook on very low for 30 minutes.

7You may add chicken pieces.
