Ingredients

  • 1 c. mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cake household yeast or 2 dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. potato water, cooled
  • 2 or 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • flour to stiffen

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together and let raise until double in size and then divide into five 9-inch round pans and let raise again until double in size.

    Bake at 350° for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

    Do not stick with a fork.
