  • 1 1/2 c. shredded coconut
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 box German chocolate or butter pecan cake mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 (16 oz.) box confectioners sugar

Directions

    Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle coconut and pecans evenly on bottom of pan. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Spread over nuts and coconut. In microwave-safe container, melt cream cheese and butter in microwave oven. Stir confectioners sugar into cream cheese mixture, mixing well. Spread over cake batter. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until center is set and lightly browned.
