- 1 chicken, cut up in frying pieces
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
Directions

1Mix flour, salt and paprika in a paper bag.

2Cut chicken up into frying pieces.

3Shake chicken in bag.

4Melt 1/4 cup butter or 1 stick margarine in a shallow pan at 425° on lower shelf of oven, until slightly hot.

5Add chicken in single layer, skin down.

6Place on lower shelf of oven and bake 30 minutes.

7Turn chicken.

8Turn oven down to 375°.

9Bake another 30 minutes, until tender.

10If you don't like crisp chicken, cover the pan with aluminum foil, adding 1 teaspoon of water.

11Bake until done.
