Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread or about 6 biscuits
  • 1/2 stick oleo or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla or vanilla, butter and nut

Directions

    Heat milk to boiling point; pour over bread and beat well. Add flavoring, egg yolks, sugar and margarine.

    Beat well.

    Pour into baking dish.

    Cook at 325° for 1 hour.

    When done, top with meringue and brown in hot oven.
