- unsalted butter (1 to 1 1/2 lb.)
- juice of 1 lemon
- 3 cloves garlic, cut in chunks
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. lemon pepper
- shrimp (medium or large)
Directions

1Simmer all ingredients except shrimp for 20 to 30 minutes, then heat to high.

2Add shrimp and cook until shrimp turn pink (2 to 4 minutes, according to size).

3Do not overcook.

4Immediately serve hot butter sauce with shrimp in soup bowls and sourdough bread (muffins or small loaves), cooked on low heat until very hard.

5Sop sauce with bread.
