Escalloped Cabbage

  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • saltine crackers
  • butter

Directions

    Cut up cabbage and cook in salted water.

    Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Drain cabbage and put in pan.
  4. 4
    Add to top of cabbage the butter, flour, salt, pepper, milk and cheese.

    Crush several crackers over top, then add dabs of butter.

    Put in oven for 1/2 hour at 350°.
