  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2- 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 4 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 12 ounces, weight Macaroni Noodles

Directions

    Melt butter in sauce pan; add flour and mix together to make a roux.

    Let the roux cook for a few minutes, being careful not to burn it.

    Slowly add the milk, stir and allow it to thicken for about 5 minutes.

    Add salt and dry mustard, then the shredded cheese, stirring until cheese is melted.

    Remove from heat.

    After cooking the noodles and allowing them to drain, combine them with the cheese mixture.

    Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish and bake at 350F for 35 minutes.
