  • 3 3/4 c. milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. raisin bread cubes
  • hot water

Directions

    Beat milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt with fork until blended.

    Stir in bread cubes.

    Set in 1 1/2 quart casserole in 8 x 8-inch pan.

    Place baking pan on oven rack.

    Pour hot water into pan to come 1/2 up sides of casserole dish.

    Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until knife inserted is clean.
