- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. cooking oil
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. Plain Gold Medal Flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. drained, chopped fig preserves
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Combine all liquids.

3Sift dry ingredients together and add to liquids.

4Mix well.

5Add nuts and figs.

6Stir until well blended.

7Pour batter into lightly greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 1 hour.

8When cake is done, cool in pan for 10 minutes and make sauce for cake.
