  • 1/2 cup super fine suggar
  • 1 medium size egg
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • Almond essence
  • Maple sirrup for topping

    Grease 2 baking sheets

    Mix well butter & sugar

    Beat in the egg fluffy

    Add almond extract -- mix well

    Add flour mix to soft dough -- work with hands if needed.

    Roo dough --> use cookie-cutter to shape cookies

    Use sparingly the maple syrup

    Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on rack.
