- 14 cup rose petal
- 14 cup lilac fresh edible flower
- 1 cup sugar
Directions

1Select edible flowers grown without pesticides.

2Lavender and roses are good choices.

3If the flowers are small, such as lavender, leave them attached.

4With roses, remove the petals and discard the stem.

5Place 1 cup of sugar into a zip-top bag.

6Add flowers to sugar.

7Squeeze out the air from the bag and seal.

8Let rest for 3 to 4 days.

9Sift the sugar from the flowers.

10Store sugar in an airtight container.

11NOTE-.

12DO NOT use Flowers from a florist or nursery as they are probably contaminated with pesticides.

13For color, you can add a tiny drop of food coloring to the finished sugar.

14Shake the sealed bag until the color is evenly distributed.

15Be certain the flowers you choose are edible.
