Four-Bean Bake

  • 1 can green lima beans
  • 1 can dark red beans
  • 1 can cut green beans
  • 1 can pork and beans
  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. brown sugar

Directions

    Drain first three kinds of beans.

    Add pork and beans, blending well.

    Fry bacon until crisp.

    Drain on paper towel. Lightly brown the onion in a small amount of the bacon fat.

    Mix vinegar and brown sugar.

    Add the onion and simmer for 15 minutes. Add this sauce and the crisp bacon to the beans.

    Bake, uncovered, at 350° for one hour, stirring twice as it bakes.
