  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. raw peanuts
  • red food coloring

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan.

    Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until moisture evaporates.

    Turn out onto a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with vegetable oil or something similar.

    Roast at 275° for 40 minutes.

    Stir every 10 minutes.
