  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. grated apples
  • 2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
  • 3 or 4 Tbsp. milk

Directions

    Combine the sugar, oil and eggs in a bowl and mix well.

    Sift the flour with soda and salt and stir into the sugar mixture.

    Add the apples and 1 cup nuts and beat well.

    Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool.
