  • 1 box Pillsbury pie rust (use as directed)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • dash of salt
  • 6 c. thinly sliced tart apples
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions

    Heat oven to 425°.

    Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.

    Mix lightly with apples.

    Pour into pastry-lined 9-inch pie pan.

    Dot with butter.

    Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.
