- 3 c. fresh gooseberries
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Crush 1/2 cup gooseberries.

2Combine sugar, tapioca and salt. Add the whole gooseberries.

3Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Pour into pastry-lined plate and dot with butter or margarine. Bake in hot oven at 450° for 10 minutes.

4Reduce temperature to 350° and bake about 30 minutes longer or until crust is done.
