- 4 c. pears, pared, cored and chopped
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 3 c. sifted flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2/3 c. cooking oil
Directions

1Combine pears and sugar; let stand 1 hour.

2Sift together flour, salt, soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves.

3Add pears to sifted mixture, stirring just until blended.

4Add eggs, oil and nuts.

5Pour into greased and floured Bundt or 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

6Remove from oven; cool 10 minutes.

7Remove from pan; finish cooling on wire rack.
