- 6 c. finely shredded cabbage
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. elbow macaroni
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. caraway seed
- 2 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
Directions

1Mix cabbage and salt and let stand for 30 minutes; squeeze by hand to drain off moisture.

2Cook macaroni in boiling salted water for 10 to 12 minutes, or until tender.

3Drain; rinse with cold water and drain again.

4Combine butter or margarine, sugar, pepper, caraway seed, cabbage and macaroni in large skillet.

5Cook slowly, stirring frequently, until lightly browned.

6Add pimiento. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
