- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 lb. fish fillets
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. shortening like Crisco (for 10-inch pan)
Directions

1Beat egg and milk together until blended.

2Dip fillets in milk mixture, then in mixture of flour and salt.

3If heavier coating is desired, dip in milk and flour mixture again.

4Fry in hot Crisco until golden brown.

5Makes 3 to 4 servings.
