- 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 qt. canned or fresh fruit (peaches or blueberries best)
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Melt butter or margarine and pour into 9 x 12 x 2-inch baking pan.

2Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and milk.

3Pour into pan. Drain fruit if canned and combine with water and sugar.

4Carefully pour into pan.

5Bake in 375° oven for approximately 1 hour.

6When done, the batter will have risen to the top and should be a beautiful brown.

7Serves 6 to 8.
