- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda, mixed in the buttermilk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 pt. fresh or frozen berries
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. juice from any fruit
Directions

1Mix the first 7 ingredients like a cake; beat it.

2Pour into a 9-inch square baking pan or glass baking dish.

3Spread over it the berries, 1 cup sugar (if unsweetened) and juice from the fruit. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
